In 'The places where I live', a dual looped video projection with sound, I juxtaposed two 'static' video images – one filmed from the fourth floor balcony of the flat where I grew up in Cluj, Romania, and the other filmed from the window of the house where I lived in Camberwell, London.

The juxtaposition of these two images, connected by the wind in the trees, opened up the possibility of the impossible, metaphysical act of being in/of two places at the same time.
The soundtrack had been added later and it was created from different samples from a BBC sound effects record – in a way unrelated to the images – but in my view – connecting them. The sound piece could stand as a sound installation on it's own.
